Vokálně-instrumentální soubor REBELCANTISSIMO odvozuje nejen svůj název, ale i typický přístup k interpretaci od svého mateřského souboru REBELCANTO (www.rebelcanto.cz). Jak napovídá jméno souboru, spojuje se v něm školený zpěv s určitou rebelií proti tradičnímu přístupu k hudebním žánrům. Repertoár kvintetu je zaměřen na židovské písně, posbírané z různých koutů světa - písně s texty hebrejskými, písně aškenázských Židů v jazyce jidiš a písně sefardské - středověké písně Židů španělských, po staletí předávané pouze ústní tradicí. Jejich interpretace židovských písní vypovídá o tom, jak daný hudební materiál cítí tradicemi nesvázaní muzikanti na počátku třetího tisíciletí. Exoticky znějící melodie umocněné poetickými texty jsou zde prezentovány tak, aby všechno krásné, co v nich přetrvalo, potěšilo ucho i srdce současného posluchače.

Das Vokal- und Instrumental-Ensemble REBELCANTISSIMO leitet nicht nur seinen Namen, sondern auch seine typische Art der Interpretation vom Mutter-Ensemble REBELCANTO ab. Wie schon der Name andeutet, vereinigt das Ensemble schönen Gesang – belcanto – mit einer gewissen rebellischen Haltung gegenüber der traditionellen Aufführungspraxis. Das Repertoire des Quintettes besteht hauptsächlich aus jüdischen Liedern, die in verschiedenen Teilen der Welt gesammelt wurden. Hier finden sich sowohl israelische Lieder mit hebräischen Texten als auch Lieder der aschkenasischen Juden in jiddischer Sprache und mittelalterliche Lieder der spanischen Juden, die sephardischen Lieder, die Jahrhunderte lang mündlich überliefert wurden. ReBelcantissimo erhebt nicht den Anspruch einer authentischen Wiedergabe der jüdischen Musik. Die Musiker, die nicht in die jüdische Tradition eingebunden sind, wollen vielmehr zum Ausdruck bringen, wie das historische Material zu Beginn des dritten Jahrtausends empfunden werden kann. Exotische Melodien, gepaart mit poetischen Texten, werden auf eine Art präsentiert, die all ihre Schönheit in unsere Herzen eindringen lässt.

 The vocal-instrumental ensemble REBELCANTISSIMO derives not only its name, but also a certain specific way of interpretation from its mother ensemble REBELCANTO. Being professional musicians - singers or players on various instruments - gives them broad spectrum of expression. Their Jewish songs originate from different sources and regions: Israeli songs with lyrics in Hebrew, songs from the German environment in Yiddish and - their most favorite - mediaeval Sephardic songs of Spanish Jews in the language called Ladino. These songs were for centuries shared only by oral tradition, which naturally gives great space for fantasy. Rebelcantissimo interpretation of Jewish songs tells about the way how the young musicians feel the deliverance at the beginning of the third millenium. They take the spell of exotic rhythms and melodies, adorned with wise and poetic lyrics, and try to build the bridges from the ancient past to the hearts of contemporary listeners.
